Guardsman Security Guards To Vote for union representative

Press Release – Security Guards and other line staff employed with Guardsman (St. Lucia) Limited will this week Thursday May 18, 2021 decide on their representational status.

The employees shall participate in a Secret Ballot Poll at two (2) locations, namely the Department of Labour Office in Vieux Fort and the Company’s Office at L’Anse Road in Castries.

In keeping with guidelines and recommendations from the Department of Labour, all employees will be given reasonable time off by the company, along with the available transportation, to participate in the exercise.

All Covid-19 protocols will be observed.

This initiative of undertaking the poll is expected to bring closure to a long outstanding recognition issue between Guardsman Limited and the National Workers Union (NWU). 

The National Workers Union (NWU) already represents Security Guards employed with G4S Secure Solutions Limited, General Security Services Limited, Icon Security, Secure St. Lucia Limited and Sentinel Security Services Ltd.
