Guyana: Couple dies after husband jumps into septic tank to rescue wife

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a husband and wife whose motionless bodies were found in a septic tank at their home at Hyde Park, Timehri, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Dead are Camille Dwarka, 42, and Ramlall Madhoo, 51.
Reports are that on Thursday evening, Dwarka went to use the toilet and sometime later, the woman’s niece heard her screaming.Upon checking, the niece discovered her aunt had fallen into the septic tank.
She then called out for Madhoo who jumped into the septic tank to rescue his wife but was unable to do so.
Upon checking, the niece noticed both bodies were motionless.
The bodies were uplifted by the undertakers from Memorial Funeral Home and escorted to Diamond Diagnostic Centre where they were both pronounced dead.
The bodies are both presently lying at Memorial Funeral Home awaiting postmorten examination.
