Homicide in Micoud and shooting in Vieux Fort

Bullet-riddled body found in Micoud identified as that of Dominican national.

The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Chris Charles, who is originally from Portsmouth, Dominica, but resided in Saint Lucia.

The Micoud Police Station received the report around 1 p.m.

Police are also investigating a shooting incident at Vieux Fort on Tuesday about 4:17 p.m.

It was reported that the victim, who is in his twenties, sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body and was transported to St Jude Hospital.
