House of Assembly meets, today

A Sitting of the House of Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, December 03rd, 2024 with Papers to be laid by the Honourable Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Youth Economy, Justice and National Security; the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information; the Minister for the Public Service, Labour and Gender Affairs; the Honourable Minister for Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs; and the Senior Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Ports, Transport, Physical Development and Urban Renewal.
The Motions for consideration are as follows:
1. BE IT RESOLVED that BE IT RESOLVED that Parliament do authorize the Attorney General to make an Order to declare that the 2022 Supplement to the Revised Edition of the Laws of Saint Lucia, as specified in the Order shall come into force on such date as may be appointed by such Order, as an authoritative version of the law.
2. BE IT RESOLVED that BE IT BE IT RESOLVED that Parliament by affirmative resolution approves the draft Value Added Tax (Amendment of Schedule 3) (No. 6) Order which amends Schedule 3 of the Act to —
- (a) delete in paragraph 19(b) the Tourism Incentives Act, Cap. 15.30 specified under subparagraph (iii); and
- (b) include exemption of value added tax granted under the — (i) Tourism Development Act, No. 1 of 2024 commencing from the 15th day of April 2024; and (ii) Tourism Stimulus and Investment Act, Cap. 3.18 commencing from the 13th day of May 2014 and terminating on the 15th day of April, 2024 unless saved under section 156 of the Tourism Development Act, No. 1 of 2024.
