Inaugural Windward Islands Women’s Cricket Tournament
The SLNCA has released the names of 13 female cricketers to represent the island in the inaugural Windward Islands Women’s Cricket Tournament. The team includes one new comer 13 year old Zaida James. There is also a return to the team for Yasmine St Ange and Tara Louis.
The team will again be captained by wicketkeeper batter Ashlene Edward. The rest of the squad reads:
Qiana Joseph, Nerissa Crafton, Swayline William, Roylin Cooper, Maria David, Fradille Joseph, Malika Edward, Krishna Joseph and Marlene Preville.
The tournament to be played from April 14th – 21st will be hosted by St Lucia. The La Ressource Playing Field in the Mabouya Valley and the Phillip Marcellin Ground in Vieux Fort have been confirmed as the venues for the tournament.
