International accompaniers call to defend the right of self-determination of the Venezuelan people

World solidarity manifests support for Venezuela and Maduro after their electoral victory

Presidents of several countries in the world, as well as global social organizations congratulated the Venezuelan leader, Nicolas Maduro, for his victory with 67.84% of the votes in the presidential elections held on Sunday, May 20th.

Putin reiterated his willingness to continue working together with Venezuela on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.

In a telephone call, the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, congratulated Maduro and expressed his desire that the success of these elections be favorable to strengthen the prosperity of Venezuela, said a statement issued by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry,

Also, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, sent a letter to the president to congratulate him and stressed that the "Bolivarian and Chavez people have demonstrated once again their determination to defend the legacy of Chavez, which they so worthily represent."

Cuban leader Raul Castro also sent a letter to Maduro to congratulate him on a triumph that will continue to deepen the Bolivarian Revolution.

Another president who congratulated the Venezuelan head of state was the president of Algeria, Abdelazis Buteflika. Belarus also sent a statement.
