Investigation Launched into Fatal Barre Denis Shooting

On Monday August 5, 2024, about 8:18pm., the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Castries, received and responded to a report of a fatal shooting that occurred in Barre Denis, Castries.
Preliminary investigations led to the discovery of an unresponsive male lying supine at the scene with multiple apparent gunshot wounds observed on his body. Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service who were present attended to the victim; however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner.

The victim has been identified as thirty-five-year-old Troy Albert of Barre Denis, Castries. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is urging anyone with information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3754 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-3770.
