Investigations into a Shooting Incident at Dennery

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, about 6:30am, Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries, received and responded to a report of a shooting, at Conway, Castries. Upon arrival at the scene, the Officers were directed to the Massy Supermarket, Waterfront where they observed a male individual, shirtless, standing in front of the supermarket with what appeared to be blood dripping down his abdomen. The Officers approached the victim, who was conscious at the time. He identified himself as Carlton Biscette of La Clery, Castries. Carlton Biscette informed the officers that a male individual known to him, shot him in the chest area. Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded to the report.

They assessed the victim and he was subsequently transported to a Medical Facility via ambulance, where he is reported to be presently in a stable condition. Officers returned to Conway in an attempt to locate any potential witness but their attempts were futile. Investigations into this matter are ongoing. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is pleading to anyone who may have information to come forward. Anonymous tips can also be provided at the number 555.
