Islandwide Internet Project officially launched in Canaries
Yesterday afternoon was a proud moment for the people of Canaries as well as for me as Parliamentary Representative for the area as we officially launched the GINet project. The GINet is an Islandwide Internet Access Improvement project which seeks to bridge the digital divide and to provide local and wireless network areas in public zones of towns and villages across the island. I look forward to seeing the innovation and creativity of the people of Canaries being unleashed whilst taking advantage of the vast business, educational, communication and entertainment opportunities that are available via the internet. My deepest Thanks and appreciation to the people and Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for partnering with us to help implement this project.
