Jamaica surpasses 16,000 coronavirus cases

Jamaica recorded more than 1,000 coronavirus cases in just over a week to surpass the 16,000 mark.
The island recorded 100 more cases yesterday, for a total of 16,073 after hitting the previous milestone on January 25.
Among the new cases are 37 males and 63 females ranging from five months to 94 years old.
Jamaica also had two more deaths, pushing its virus fatalities to 355.
The deceased are a 41-year-old make from St Elizabeth and a 49-year-old female from Hanover.
There were also 29 additional recoveries, for a total of 12,137. There are 3,399 active cases on the island.
There are 112 hospitalised patients with 15 deemed moderately ill while14 are critically ill.
