Male charged for illegal gun, bullets and drugs

Police have charged 42 year old Blaine Girard, a resident of Cap Estate is originally from Jacmel.

Girard is charged for one count of possession of an illegal firearm, two counts of possession of ammunition and three counts of possession of controlled drugs. He was also charged for three counts of intent to supply.

Blaine Girard was arrested and his vehicle seized in police operation in Castries on Tuesday afternoon near the Vendors Arcade.

Reports are that police intercepted a vehicle and as a result a kilo of cocaine was discovered in the vehicle. Police also conducted a search at the individual home where they seized more Cocaine, a firearm and ammunition.

Several videos were posted on social media showing the police operation in Castries.
