man charged after altercation with off duty police officer

On Wednesday August 31st, A resident of Gros Islet known as Clint Mathurin was charged for the offences of assault,insulting Words and resisting arrest referencing an assault on a police officer at Raj Communications on the William Peter Boulevard.
According to reports, Mathurin and an off-duty police officer was involved in an argument when the officer asked him to leave the store because he didn't follow the store's policy.
Mathurin was taken to court on Monday September 5th and was given bail in the sum of $2300 cash, surrendering all traveling documents, and signing conditions.
The matter is postponed to October 14, 2022.
Moreover, Ti Morne resident pleaded guilty to threats made against the police in a viral video.
Yanneil Bretny aka Birdman of Ti Morne was arrested and charged for making threats to kill members of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) following a police operation on September 2.
He was taken to Court and pleaded guilty to the charges.
He was cautioned, reprimanded and discharged by a Magistrate.
