Man died after sustained severe head injuries in accident

A response was made from the Babonneau Fire Station to Balata, Castries, for an individual who got struck by a vehicle on Thursday October 27.

The victim was found lying on the ground under a vehicle appearing unresponsive with severe head trauma. He was removed and placed on a spine board for further assessment, which revealed that he was void of vital signs and sustained other severe injuries to his body.

CPR was initiated and the patient’s wounds were bandaged. The patient was provided rapid emergency transportation to the OKEU Hospital where he was handed over to medical personnel in a critical state.

He succumbed to his injuries.
