Man died by suspected suicide and woman was hospitalized after attempted suicide in Micoud

On Wednesday September 21st, 2022 at about 10:00 am, man was found hanging at his home in Desruisseaux, Micoud. Police identified the deceased as Simius Paul, who was in his thirties.
Another incident took place earlier the same day, where a woman in her twenties reportedly consumed a toxic liquid at her Anse Ger, Micoud, residence at about 11:00 am and was rushed to the St Jude Hospital.
However, St Lucia recorded 43 suicides between 2017 and 2020,three of which are women.
