Man shot dead while a female sustained gunshot injury in Grand Riviere, Gros-Islet

Police are investigating a deadly shotting which occurred at Grande Riviere, Gros Islet on Saturday night at about 10 pm.

According to reports, a man and a woman were on a motorcycle when shots were fired in their direction.

When emergency officials arrived on the scene, they found the man unresponsive, and the female sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

They were transported to the Owen king European hospital where the man was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner and the female is in stable condition.

The deceased is identified as 29-year-old Ray J. Modeste.

This is the second homicide for 2023.
