By SLFS
At the same time, officers from the Fire Service Headquarters responded to a call involving an individual who was struck by a motorcycle in Anse la Raye.
The victim was found in the presence of other emergency personnel. An assessment revealed that he sustained trauma to his head. The patient was provided medical care and transported in a stable condition to the OKEU Hospital for further treatment.
Again, the Saint Lucia Fire Service would like to take this time to continue to urge citizens to exercise the utmost caution and care when traversing the streets. Motorists, please keep your attention on driving at all times and adhere to the road signs. Also, be mindful of each other and pedestrians. Reckless and indiscriminate driving costs lives. These constant incidents on our roadways are not only physically but also mentally tasking to our officers and also emotionally devastating to those whose loved ones are lost. So again, we are asking for consideration and partnership in making our roads safe, because safety is everyone’s responsibility.
