Micoud homicide - Gillian Sonson was charged with the Murder of Vern Joseph

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force commenced investigations into the Murder of Vern Joseph, a resident of Dugard Micoud, on Friday, September 8, 2023.

On Friday, September 8, 2023, the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered near a bus shelter, with lacerations to the neck region.  The suspect, Gillian Fellus Sonson alias “Makak” of Micoud, was arrested.

On Monday, September 11, 2023, Gillian Sonson was charged with the Murder of Vern Joseph. He was presented before the Magistrate’s Court, where bail was denied, and he was remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
