MINISTRY OF TOURISM HOSTS SESSIONS ON CERTIFICATION FOR TOURISM TRANSPORTATION OPERATORS

Operators within the Tourism Transport Sector will be sensitized on the requirements to become certified as part of the requirements of the proposed Tourism Development Act. The Ministry of Tourism will engage approximately 1,200 operators in a series of informative sessions on this important prerequisite for their business operations.

Certification is highlighted as a core requirement within the new legislative framework and will allow tourism service providers access to the following services:

Government Incentives;
Access to training and capacity building programs;
Quality Management for tourism products and services;
Marketing and promotion support; and
Access to grant funding to improve their businesses.

These sensitization sessions are scheduled to commence Monday April 3, 2023 and conclude on April 20, 2023. The first session was held with members of the Holiday Taxi Company at the Castries Comprehensive secondary School in Vide Boutielle Castries.
