Morne Gladiators Triumph Over Defending Champs Bonne Terre Blazers in Semi-Final Opener

Morne Gladiators eased past defending champions Bonne Terre Blazers (BTB) in Game 1 of their semi-final Best of Three Series with a 72 - 50 win.
A battle of last year's finalists was determined in the third quarter with a 28 - 12 third-quarter win for Morne Gladiators with Bonne Terre Blazers going into the half leading by 1- (29 - 28).
Morne Gladiators was led by KFC Player of the Game Shamoir Jn Baptiste with 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Keegan Preville also contributed 14 points and nine rebounds for the Gladiators. Nye Guard led the scoring for Bonne Terre Blazers with 14 points and three steals who were without inspirational leader Troy Louison through injury.
Game 2 of the Best of 3 series continues this coming Tuesday, June 18, 8:30 p.m. at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex
