Nine-Year-Old Boy Struck by Vehicle Near Bexon Petrol Station

A nine-year-old boy was involved in a road incident on Sunday morning when a vehicle struck him near the petrol station at Bexon.

Emergency responders from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Castries headquarters were notified of the incident and rushed to the scene around 9:05 a.m.

However, upon arrival, they discovered that a private vehicle had already transported the young victim to the hospital for medical attention.

SLFS spokeswoman Stacy Joseph provided an update on the incident, stating, “The emergency team was dispatched promptly after receiving the call, but the injured boy had already been taken to the hospital by a private vehicle by the time they arrived.”

The specifics of the boy's injuries were not immediately available. According to initial reports, the child was conscious during the transport and was expected to receive medical evaluation upon arrival at the hospital
