Nineteen St. Lucian women were inducted into the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Cohort 2

SLUDTERA would like to inform its readers and followers that Nineteen St. Lucian women were inducted into the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Cohort 2 at an Opening Ceremony which was held under the theme “Empowering Women to Help Build a Resilient Economy”.
The ceremony was held on the evening of Tuesday August 24 2021 via Zoom and was hosted by the implementing organization of the AWE St. Lucia program SLUDTERA.
In attendance were the AWE St. Lucia Inductees, some of the 2020 Alumni, the local media, the Academy partners and some members of the public.
Keynote speaker at the AWE St. Lucia Cohort 2 Opening Ceremony was Mr. Laurence Socha, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy of Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean and the OECS.
Other speakers for the evening included Program Mentor Mrs. Kerchelle Jn. Charles-Hodge, Program partner Mr. Pauly Suchy of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN Global), AWE St. Lucia Facilitator Mrs. Michelle N. Samuel of SLUDTERA, and Program Facilitators Lisa Yarde of LISVALU, and Vanetta Phillip of Evolution Public Relations Management.
Program Director and Facilitator Michelle N. Samuel outlined the activities that the Inductees would be engaged in over the next sixteen weeks of training.

The entire Cohort of 2021 is slated to graduate the week of December 6th 2021.
Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), is a United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs funded initiative for women. It is a unique Professional Business Training Course centered around DreamBuilder, which guides candidates through the basics of planning, managing, marketing, and funding a business plan to better position themselves in the market.
