Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Program

The Northern Cluster Grassroots Saturday morning Cricket Program – Summer Camp Edition continued on august 17th at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.
The programme was severely affected by rain, but it didn’t put a damper on the fifty eight determined youngsters from attending the cricket training session.
The session took the following format;
- Prayers / Welcome etc.
- Warm Up Activities – football stretching etc.
- Physical conditioning – core
- Catching Drills
- Batting – back foot shot; pull shot; Back foot defensive and back foot punch
- Use of the bowling machines for batting
The coaches conducting the session were Alton Crafton, Allain Ashby and Jeandell Cyril. The logistical support was again provided by Mr. Nereus Auguste and crew.
The Northern Cluster Grassroots Summer Cricket Program continues on Tuesday 20th August at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, followed by a round the island tour with stops at different points including the Sulphur Springs on Wednesday 21st August 2018.
