Over 1300 Kilos Of Cocaine Seized Off Martinique

The cocaine packaged in 47 bales was discovered by the crew of the Dumon d'Urville. After a reaction test for verification, the result was positive for the substance.

The three crew members were arrested and taken to Fort-de-France. The cargo and the sailboat (Spanish flag) were also brought back to Martinique.

Several state agencies worked on this operation, which resulted in a record seizure. Not to mention, cooperation with the Spanish judicial authorities.

This is the 7th seizure of the year. According to the Armed Forces in the West Indies, the toll is more than one ton of cannabis and 2.4 tons of cocaine intercepted since January 2022.
