Today, our country started administering the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination as gifted by the people of Barbados and Dominica through India.
While I have been invited to be one of the early recipients of the vaccine, I have made the conscious decision to allow others to go before me - it is the right thing to do!
1500 Saint Lucians will be able to receive the vaccine at this stage and I believe that our frontline workers, especially healthcare professionals who are daily fighting this virus and risking their lives and their family’s safety should come first in the rollout of this vaccination. They are the true heroes in this war against COVID-19!
