Pierre to deliver remarks at the CARICOM Regional Symposium: Violence as a Public Health Issue

Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre will deliver remarks at the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Regional Symposium: Violence as a Public Health Issue - The Crime Challenge on April 17th, 2023.
In December 2022, Prime Minister Pierre officially commenced his tenure as the Chair of the Council for National Security and Law Enforcement [CONSLE]. CONSLE is an Organ of The CARICOM and is responsible for the formulation of regional security policies and the coordination of measures to give effect to the policies.
The Regional Symposium convenes at the Hyatt Regency in Trinidad & Tobago on April 17th and concludes on April 18th, 2023. Under the theme, ‘Violence as a Public Health Issue – The Crime Challenge’, the Regional Symposium seeks to promote dialogue and regional action aimed at violence reduction and crime prevention.
Minister for Education Hon. Shawn Edward will act as Prime Minister until April 19th, 2023.
