Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Vandalism of Bank of Saint Lucia ATMs
By Josiah G.A Bicette/SNN
Police have arrested a male suspect in connection with the recent vandalism of several Bank of Saint Lucia (BOSL) ATMs, which occurred on Sunday between midday and 3 pm. The incidents, which took place at BOSL’s Bridge Street (BOSL Building and Blue Coral) and Waterfront locations, caused significant disruption to customer services on Creole Day, a time when many relied on ATM access for festivities.
According to law enforcement, the suspect has a history of mental illness. CCTV footage circulating on social media reportedly shows the man entering the bank building carrying a red crossbody bag with a stone inside, believed to be used in the vandalism.
The police investigation is ongoing, and BOSL is working to restore ATM services for its customers
