The Department of the Public Service’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Unit is encouraging public officers to take advantage of two online presentations – the first, “Coping with Anxiety” and the second “Coping with Depression.”
The EAP Unit believes that topics like these are necessary especially in dealing with the current COVID-19 Pandemic.
The “Coping with Anxiety” presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. and will focus on understanding the psychological and physical effects of anxiety, identifying specific tools for managing generalized anxiety, as well as dealing with panic attacks.
The second presentation is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. and similarly focuses on understanding depression and its effects on the individual, identifying some simple tools and skills to help manage mild to moderate depression.
Both presentations are expected to be highly interactive and will be conducted by EAP Counsellors via the zoom platform, with each presentation lasting a maximum of one to one and a half hours.
