Resilience Rewarded: Mrs. Cruscita Descartes-Pelius Returns as Commissioner of Police

On Friday, September 1, 2023, Mrs. Cruscita Descartes-Pelius was reinstated as the Commissioner of Police for a one-year term. Mrs. Descartes-Pelius was appointed as the first female Commissioner of Police in October of the year 2022, and she has served the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force with distinction for over thirty [30] years,
until June 2023.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and its executive welcome the return of Commissioner Descartes-Pelius and extend their gratitude to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ronald Phillip, for his commitment and dedication to service as the Acting Commissioner of Police for the past ten weeks. The members of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, pledges their unwavering support to Commissioner Cruscita Descartes-Pelius as she takes on the role of Commissioner of Police once again.
