RESULTS: Adventist Premiere League

Last weekend, the Adventist Premiere League – APL Eagle Freight and Brokerage Veterans action continued with four matches scheduled.

At Balata, the match between United Raiders CC – URCC and Carro’s Kitchen Strikers – CKS got  off to a very late start under murky conditions. Batting first URCC reached 106 for 3 in 15 overs, before rain brought a halt to the proceedings.

Top scoring for the United Raiders was Laksham Persaud with 32 off 14 balls laced with 5 sixes. He received good support from Silmore Ryan Cameron 20 and Glenn Barry Eurysthee with 19.

Bowling for Carro’s Kitchen Strikers were Petrus Aurillien with 2 for 17 and Andel Loncke 1 for 27 in their allotted 3 overs.

Because of the APL Tournament Playing Conditions, this match will now have to be replayed.

Over at the Labayee Playing Field the match between Labayee and Unique will be replayed per the rules of the tournament.

Labayee took first knock and reached 129 for 9 in their 20 overs. Kenroll Charles top scored with 40 which included 6 sixes. Julius Simon made 27 and Richard St. Luce 26.

The main wicket taker was Alvin Prospere with 3 for 3 in 4 overs.

Unfortunately because of the rain interruption Unique was unable to bat.

At the Grande Riviere Playing Field, Bon Nouvel  defeated North Eastern Vets by six wickets.

North Eastern Vets after being sent in struggled against some discipline bowling and was dismissed for 115 in their 20 overs. Their main contributors were Steve Charles with 29 and Ross Ferdinand with 24.

Bowling for Bon Nouvelle, Hazel Emmanuel took 3 for 22, Adolphus Marquis 2 for 12 in 2 overs.

At their turn at the crease Bon Nouvelle reached 119 for 4 in 15.4 overs, with Man of the Match Adolphus Marquis hitting an aggressive 66 and Noel Gaspard and an attractive 24.

Bowling for North Eastern, Cyrus Cepal took 2 for  24 in 4 overs while Shem Alexander took 1 for 11 in 3 overs.
