By SNN
Prime Minister Allan Chastanet today, told ahead of Wednesday's Sitting of Parliament that COVID-19 State Of Emergency ‘On The Table’
"Meetings already started this morning to determine whether we have to strengthen the existing protocols that we have. The government introduced a COVID Bill, the purpose of that bill was to substitute for the State of Emergency but as we've indicated, the bill does not allow us to institute a curfew. If, in fact, we believe going back to a curfew is necessary, it will require us to reintroduce a State of Emergency. This is a crisis and we have to be able to solve this problem. We can do this. That's the sad part! We've shown that we could have done it before... the opposition has to play their role. There is no elections. There's nothing more important than people's lives, certainly not politics. It's not about a blame game, it requires that all of this country's leadership must come together" Chastanet said.
