Royal Saint Lucia Police Execute Successful Operation - FIREARM CONFISCATED UPDATE

On Thursday September 7, 2023, an operation was conducted in Derniere Riviere and Dennery by a joint task force, which included personnel from various Police Stations and units. During the operation, Eli Francis of Denierre Riviere, Dennery was arrested for being in possession of a Taurus 9mm pistol and 7 rounds of 9mm ammunition without a
valid licence. Eli Francis was subsequently charged for Possession of Firearm without a Valid Licence and Possession of Ammunition. He was presented before the Magistrate’s Court on Monday September 11, 2023 for the purpose of bail, and the court decided on the following bail amounts:

 In relation to the charge for Possession of Firearm without a Valid Licence, bail was set at twelve thousand dollars (XCD12000.00) cash, suitable surety or land documents.
 In relation to the charge of Possession of Ammunition, bail was set at six thousand dollars (XCD6000.00) cash, suitable surety, or land documents.
