Royal Saint Lucia Police Force Investigates the Death of Dennery Resident

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, about 11:45pm, Officers attached to the Dennery Police Station, received and responded to a report of a shooting at Bois Jolie, Dennery.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Officers found the motionless body of a male individual lying on his back in a grassy area near a dirt road, with an apparent wound to the right side of his head. A number of spent shells were recovered on the scene along with one live round of ammunition.

Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded to the report. The technicians attended to the victim, who was subsequently pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner.

The victim has been identified as thirty-three [33] year-old Jackson Wilton also known as “JJ” of Belmont, Dennery.

Investigations are ongoing.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is pleading to anyone who may have information about this case to come forward. Anonymous tips can be provided at the number 555.
