RSLPF Investigates Fatal Vehicular Collision Sir Julian R. Hunte Highway

On Saturday, January 4, 2024, about 5:20 a.m., the Traffic Department in Gros-Islet received a
report of a vehicular collision along the Sir Julian R. Hunte Highway in Gros-Islet.
The collision involved two (2) motor vehicles, both of which incurred significant damage. A total
of six (6) occupants were identified, sustaining injuries that ranged from lacerations and fractures to
broken bones.
Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service responded to the scene, provided assistance, and
conveyed the victims to medical institutions for further treatment. At the Owen King European
Union Hospital (OKEU), one (1) male identified as twenty-eight-year-old Ivin Lucien of Chapel
Street, Gros-Islet, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by a medical doctor.
