RSLPF Recovers Firearm and Ammunition One Male Charged

On Friday, June 28, 2024, about 2:40 a.m., the Royal Siant Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) recovered a firearm and ammunition in the community of Mon Repos. A off-duty Police Officer had cause to search a male suspect, which resulted in the discovery and seizure of a firearm with ten (10) rounds of ammunition. The suspect, identified as twenty-three-year-old (23) Jay Collymore of Over the Bridge, Dennery, was arrested for Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

The Micoud Police Station undertook investigations into this matter. Jay Collymore was subsequently charged with Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition. He was escorted to the Magistrate’s Court, where bail was granted in the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars (XCD25,000.00) cash, suitable surety, or land documents.
