Saint Lucia to welcome Cas En Bas Beach Resort
By Ministry Of Tourism
Saint Lucia is poised to welcome a new hotel to its collection of upscale accommodations with the forthcoming inauguration of Cas en Bas Beach Resort set for 2024. This represents the first Destination by Hyatt branded resort and residential venture on the island.
In a September 18 press release, Hyatt Hotels Corporation revealed its ongoing commitment to strategically expand its presence in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality segment. This commitment the hotel chains says, is evidenced by an extensive development pipeline, encompassing more than 30 planned hotels and resorts in the Americas region, slated for completion by 2025.
Saint Lucia has emerged as one of Hyatt's burgeoning markets, contributing to the resort chain's endeavors to augment its inventory of guest rooms. The corporation's recent statement underscores an aggressive growth trajectory over the past five years, wherein HYATT has effectively doubled its count of luxury accommodations, tripled its resort offerings, and significantly expanded its lifestyle-oriented rooms.
This remarkable expansion has propelled Hyatt into the enviable position of being the fastest-growing luxury hospitality portfolio, with luxury, lifestyle, and resort establishments now comprising more than 40% of the company's overall portfolio. This reaffirms Hyatt's stature as the preeminent hotel brand for discerning high-end travelers.
When Cas en Bas Beach Resort opens its doors to visitors it will mark a significant milestone for the local tourism industry, arriving at an auspicious juncture in the island's tourism development. Saint Lucia recently received accolades in three prominent leisure and travel categories at the August 2023 World Travel Awards. The island clinched the title of the Caribbean's Leading Honeymoon Destination for the fourteenth time, reaffirmed its status as the Caribbean's Leading Adventure Tourism Destination for the second time, and achieved the coveted distinction of being named the Caribbean's Leading Nature Destination for the first time. This latest accolade underscores the industry's dedication to showcasing Saint Lucia's natural beauty as a principal asset for the destination.
