Saint Lucian Cultural Explosion Brings Independence 44 NY Festivities to a Close

The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York has announced that the final event of its month-long celebration of our nation’s forty fourth anniversary of independence will be the annual Saint Lucian Cultural Explosion. This showcase of the island’s rich cultural heritage will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Saint Lucia House, 438 East 49th Street, Brooklyn, beginning at 7:00 PM.

Organized by the Saint Lucian National Day Committee in collaboration with the Saint Lucia House Foundation and the Consulate General of Saint Lucia, the Saint Lucian Cultural Explosion features performances of song and dance, as well as readings by Saint Lucian poets. Admission is free.

The Consulate General takes this opportunity to extend its sincere gratitude to all Saint Lucians and friends in the tri-state area who supported the various cultural, social, and community programs that were offered throughout the month, and helped make Independence 44 celebrations in the diaspora a huge success. Plans for Saint Lucia’s landmark forty-fifth anniversary celebrations are already underway.
