Shonelle Eugene and Renair Yarde Represent Saint Lucia at Commonwealth Youth Parliament in New Zealand

The Ministry of Youth Development would like to congratulate Shonelle Eugene and Renair Yarde for representing St. Lucia at the Commonwealth Youth Parliament in Wellington, New Zealand, from September 2 to, September 5.
During the first reading debate, Shonelle displayed confidence and knowledge, setting a tone for the week and making Saint Lucia proud. In addition to debating in the House, delegates had the opportunity to experience the workings of select committees which provided a valuable learning experience given the varied emphasis Commonwealth jurisdictions place on the committee process.
The Commonwealth Youth Parliament serves as a valuable platform for gaining insight into parliamentary procedure, offering a headstart for aspiring leaders. Eugene and Renair, you are an inspiration to all future leaders, and we look forward to witnessing her bright future.
