Police are probing a shooting incident that occurred in Piat, Grande Riviere, Gros Islet.

The Babonneau Fire Station was alerted to the incident on Wednesday around 9:50 pm. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders found a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds.

The victim was immediately transported to a medical facility for treatment. Fortunately, at the time of transport, he was reported to be in stable condition.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are ongoing as authorities seek to determine the motive and identify any suspects involved.
