Sites and attractions to benefit from Safety and Security Training Initiative

The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information is pleased to announce its continued drive toward product improvement and preparation for the upcoming cruise season. As part of training and development, owners and operators of sites will benefit from a capacity building initiative to strengthen safety and security measures. The Ministry will therefore present a comprehensive safety and security training program as part of its commitment to ensuring the safety of visitors to Saint Lucia.

The tourism sector is a key pillar of the local economy, drawing visitors from all over the world who come to experience the natural beauty of our island. The Ministry understands the importance of safety and security in building visitor confidence and safeguarding all assets. In this regard, the Ministry hopes that all locals and visitors can enjoy a more satisfying and secure experience while enhancing the perception of Saint Lucia as a safe and welcoming destination.

The Ministry of Tourism's Safety and Security Training Program is an important effort that gives owners of sites and attractions the information necessary to improve the safety of visitors to their properties. This detailed and extensive programme will expose participants to topics such as emergency procedures, access control, personal safety, and fire prevention, among others.

As our country prepares to usher in a new cruise season, all operators are encouraged to gear up to offer the service excellence that Destination Saint Lucia is known for and to work collaboratively for growth.

October 3rd, 2023 – Sugar Beach Resort, Soufriere from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

October 4th, 2023 – National Cultural Centre, Castries from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
