SLNYC Elects New Executive

PRESS RELEASE - The 16th Executive of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council was elected at the General Assembly on Saturday August 10th, 2019 at the Sir Stanley Jon Odlum Memorial Secondary School. The outgoing Executive of the SLNYC presented their report at this Biennial General Assembly, together with the motion brought forward to members to ratify the Gros Islet North and Gros Islet South Youth and Sports Councils. Gros Islet was previously represented by the Gros Islet Youth Development Council.
The results for the election is as follows:
President: Nyus Alfred (77), Robert Rene (32), Dwight George (7), Re-open Nominations (4)
1st Vice President: Anya Edwin (72), Geena McPhee (44), Re-open Nominations (1)
2nd Vice President: Ajani Lebourne (100), Joshua Harrow withdrew from the contest before voting began, Re-open Nominations (10)
General Secretary: Chrishna St. Brice (77), Kimberly Findley (39), Re-open Nominations (1)
Assistant General Secretary: Stacy Elva-Lafeuillee (64), Josiah Bicette (29), Kevin Mathurin (25)
Treasurer: Steffi Alfred (85), Melvena Joseph (33), Re-open Nomination (1)
Public Relations Officer: Eddison Layne (78), Michael Anthony (39) Reopen Nomination (1)
The 16th Executive of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council comprises of:
Nyus Alfred- President
Anya Edwin- 1st Vice President
Ajani Lebourne- 2nd Vice President
Chrishna St. Brice- General Secretary
Stacy Elva- Lafeuillee- Assistant General Secretary
Stacy Alfred- Treasurer
Eddison Layne- Public Relations Officer
The newly elected Executive will serve for the period 2019-2021
Racquel John and Kim Cayol were also voted in as the Trustees of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council 2019-2021.
The Saint Lucia National Youth Council is a democratic and independent non-governmental organization which represents the interest and ideals of Saint Lucia’s youth between the ages of 10 and 35.
