The Saint Lucia Labour Party notes with regret the passing of hotelier and tourism giant Hon. Gordon “Butch” Stewart.

Opposition Leader Hon. Philip J. Pierre wishes to extend sincerest condolences to the family, friends and employees of the Sandals team across the Caribbean.

Hon. Stewart has left an indelible mark on the region and was globally admired for his entrepreneurship, innovation and business acumen.

The region has lost a distinguished son and all are saddened by his unexpected passing.

May he rest in peace.
