Secretary of the Southern Minibus Drivers Association said "As long as we don't get our problem addressed, we want to go on sick-out for the whole week.We heard that the government is calling on the National Council to negotiate but as far as I’m concerned, the National Council was not in favour of us going through protest action. We don’t want the National Council alone to represent us. The National Council could be there but we need members from Gros-Islet Association, Vieux-Fort Association, and other associations to sit with the government. We do not want the national association alone to perform negotiations on behalf of us".

The mini bus went on strike as a result of covid protocols.
