The Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF) has been astonished by the plethora of rumors emanating from social media concerning the management of its financial resources.

Specifically, the organization notes with disdain that last week information emerged that the organization had written-off, for Carnival Sailing tour company “outstanding debts believed to amount to over $500,000.00.”

In the interest of transparency and to set the record straight, the SRDF wishes to inform the public that the information supplied by the various social media accounts does not wholly or partially represent the truth about the status of Carnival Sailing’s account with the organization.

In fact, the SRDF wishes to make clear that Carnival Sailing, has at no point in time, accrued any receivable amounts remotely close to the aspersions being made.

Furthermore, the SRDF would like to emphasize that it has never engaged in the act of debt cancellation for Carnival Sailing, as the aforementioned company frequently settles all its outstanding obligations.

The SRDF encourages the exercise of free speech; however, caution must be exercised to ensure the dissemination of information that is grounded in fact.

To this end, the SRDF implores everyone to consult its offices before making claims about its operational procedures and other information pertaining to the organization.
