St. Lucia Olympic Committee Supports Athletes' Journey to Paris Olympics

In a significant move to bolster St. Lucia's representation on the international stage, the St. Lucia Olympic Committee (SLOC) has stepped forward to provide crucial support to seven sports teams. The initiative aims to empower athletes and teams in their pursuit of excellence while preparing them for the highly anticipated Olympics in Paris later this year.

The SLOC's unwavering commitment to nurturing sporting talent and fostering a culture of excellence is evident in their recent action. Through the issuance of seven checks, each directed to a deserving sports team, the SLOC seeks to provide financial assistance to aid in their endeavors. The funds are earmarked to support the teams' training, equipment, and other essential preparations crucial for Olympic qualification.

Currently, St. Lucia boasts three promising athletes poised to represent the nation on the global stage at the upcoming Olympics in Paris. While these athletes have shown immense potential, they are yet to secure full qualification for the prestigious event. Recognizing the significance of their participation, the SLOC remains optimistic that with continued support and dedication, these athletes will be primed for success by March to April, just in time for the Paris Olympics.

The SLOC's commitment to supporting athletes transcends mere financial aid, as it reflects a deep-seated belief in the potential of St. Lucian talent to shine on the world stage. As of 2024, the SLOC has demonstrated its unwavering dedication to this cause, having disbursed a total of $144,218.50 to support sporting initiatives and athlete development programs throughout the year.

Body Building: $9800

Table Tennis: $10800

Swimming: $38189

Volly Ball: $10000

Net Ball: $13000

Tennis: $17760.50
