Suspected drowning at Roseau

On Sunday April 16, at 12:55 p.m., emergency personnel at the Fire Service Headquarters responded to a call relating to a suspected drowning incident at Roseau in Castries.

The responding officers found an unresponsive male patient who appeared to be in his late teens lying on a beach.

Emergency intervention was initiated by the crew and rapid transportation to a medical facility was provided. The patient’s condition remained unchanged and he was pronounced dead on arrival at the OKEU Hospital by a medical practitioner.
