Suspected drowning in Anse La Verdure

Police are investigating a suspected drowning which occurred in near Anse La Verdure on Sunday afternoon at about 5pm.

Reports are that the motionless man was seen in the sea water after which he was pulled out.

The deceased is known as 'Cooshie.

It is alleged that the deceased was on a boat ride and he jumped for a swim after the boat stopped and never resurfaced.

Efforts was made to resuscitate him but it was unsuccessful.
