Suspected drowning in Babonneau

Police are investigating a suspected drowning at Marquis Beach, Babonneau on Tuesday evening at about 5:15 pm.

The deceased is identified as 21 year old Shaquan Louis, a resident of La Guerre, Babonneau.

Resports are that Shaquan was in the water with his friends when he encountered difficulty.

His body was recovered on Wednesday afternoon at about 1:20 p.m.

Several photos were posted on social media showing the body on the beach.
