Suspected drowning in Vieux Fort

Police are investigating a suspected drowning in Vieux Fort.

Dead is 51 year old Allan Dominique of  West Hall Group, Vieux-Fort.

Reports are that on Tuesday evening at about 5 pm the deceased jumped into the Barcaderre River to retrieve a pan and encountered difficulty.

His body was recovered after a second attempt by divers this morning
