The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs St. Lucia Pitch Presentation was a success.

SLUDTERA hosted the AWE St. Lucia Pitch Presentation event on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 from 8 pm AST via Zoom. Eleven women from Cohort 1 participated in the event which was the final in-program activity for the group. This was an opportunity for the women to practice their storytelling skills in an informal setting.

They each presented to a panel of four judges, Mr. Leslie Collymore of Advanced Intellectual Methods (AIM), Ms. Emma Charles of 1st National Bank Saint Lucia Limited, Ms. Danielle Du Bois of Dramacan, and Dr. Nadine Collins, Renowned International Speaker.

Opening remarks were given by AWE St. Lucia Program Manager, Michelle N. Samuel, Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy of Barbados, Simone Kendall, and Program Coordinator of the Taiwan Technical Mission at the Taiwan Embassy in Saint Lucia, Sophia Jan. Other special guests included Lissa Joseph of DBS, Cultural Affairs Assistant – Exchanges at the U.S. Embassy, Lisa Howell, AWE St. Lucia Mentors, members of SLUDTERA, and members of the public.

The judges assessed the presentations in eight categories, with scores of 1 to 5 in each category. After tallying the totals, the results were in. The top five presenters were;

All eleven participants will be granted access to the Business Coaching Program with the Upskilling Academy at Sir Artur Lewis Community College, as part of an agreement between SLUDTERA and The Taiwan Technical Mission. The top three presenters will receive prizes that will be presented to them at graduation.
