The Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO invites applications for the 8th Edition of the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development.

The 8th Edition of the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development is awarded every two (2) years and aims to reward innovative practices that contribute to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning around the world. The Prize of US$300,000 will be divided equally between three (3) winners whose projects aim at improving the performance and effectiveness of teachers.

Candidates should be institutions or organizations; international or national governmental or non-governmental organizations; educational or research institutions active in the field of teaching and learning, and working to support the profession through innovative programs.

Applications are to be submitted in English or French by the deadline 31st October 2023 via a dedicated online platform.
